•  W.B.F.S ( West Bengal Forest Service): Bachelor Degree or It Equivalent In Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Application, Computer Science, Engineering (Agricultural, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical), Forestry, Geology, Horticulture, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science, Zoology and Environmental Science.
• W.B.S.F.S ( West Bengal Subordinate Forest Service ): Bachelor Degree in  Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Application, Computer Science, Engineering (Agricultural, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical), Forestry, Geology, Horticulture, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science, Zoology and Environmental Science.
• Ability to read and Speak Bengali ( Not required for Nepali )

✅ WBFS Physical Eligibility 

Male Candidates:-

Height 

• General / EWS/SC/OBC : 163 cm ( Minimum)
• Gorkha/Garwalies/Nepali/ST : 152 cm

Chest Grith

• General / EWS/SC/OBC: 84 cm ( 5 cm expansion)
• Gorkha/Garwalies/Nepali/ST: 79cm ( 5cm expansion)

Female Candidates:-

Height 

• General / EWS/SC/OBC: 150cm (minimum)
• Gorkha/Garwalies/Nepali/ST: 145 cm (minimum)

Chest Girth

• General / EWS/SC/OBC: 79 cm ( 5 cm expansion )
• Gorkha/Garwalies/Nepali/ST: 74cm ( 5 cm expansion)

✅ WBFS Walking Test 

• Male Candidates: 25 km walking Test in 4 hour
• Female Candidates: 16 km walking Test in 4 hour

✅ Age Limit ( As of  01/01/2024)

• General Candidates: 21 to 36 years
• OBC Candidates: 21 to 39 years
• SC/ST Candidates: 21 to 41 years

 ✅ WBFS Application Fees

• General (Un-Reserve):  210/-
• SC/ST:  No Fees
• Payment Method: Exam Fees Pay through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/ 

✅ WBFS Salary 2024 (  After 6th Pay Commission)

WBFS Post: 

• Basic Pay - 56,100/-
• HRA: 6732/- ( 12% Of Basic Pay)
• DA: 5610/- ( 10% announced )
• Medical Allowance: 500/-
• New Starting Gross Salary-  68,942/- ( Without Increment )

WBSFS Post :  

• Basic Pay: 32,100/-  
• HRA: 3,852/-( 12% of Basic Pay)
• DA: 3210/- (10% announced )
• Medical Allowance: 500/-
• New Monthly Starting Gross Salary ( Basic Pay + HRA + DA + Medical ) : 39,662/- ( Without Increment)

• Preliminary Exam ( MCQ Type )
• Main Exam ( Conventional Type)
• Personality Test

✅ WBFS Exam Pattern 2024

Preliminary Exam:-

Now I am explaining the WBFS exam pattern 2024. The WBFS Preliminary exam, consist of only General Studies and Arithmetic - 

• Total Marks: 200
• Total No. of Question: 200
• Type Of Question: Objective
• Time: 2 hours 30 minute
• Negative Marks: Yes ( as per PSC rules) 

WBFS Main Exam:- 

Compulsory Subjects: 

Total Papers: 03

Total Marks -300 

Optional Subjects : 

For WBFS Post: No of Subject - 02, Total Marks - 400
For WBSFS Post: No. Of Subject - 01 , Total Marks - 200

Type Of Question: Conventional type.

✅ WBFS Personality Test 

The candidates will be selected on a merit basis on WBFS Main Examination-

• WBFS Post: 200 Marks
• WBSFS Post: 100 Marks

1. Compulsory Subjects: There shall be three compulsory subjects as stated below:- 

• Paper - I: English Essay, Precis Writing, and Composition; 
• Paper-II: Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali /Santhali(Essay, Precis Writing, and Composition); 
• Paper - III: General Studies 

2.Optional Subject (s) : Candidates shall take up any two subjects (for WBFS) / one subject (for WBSFS) from the following list of subjects:-
